3 Reasons Tallow Works for Eczema and a Customer Testimony
"Nothing got rid of it [eczema] until I tried this tallow.” - Brooke R. (3 min read)
Overview
31.6 million people in the US struggle with eczema.
What is eczema? Eczema is dry, inflamed. itchy patches of skin. These patches are made worse when our skin barrier is weakened and our skin is no longer as capable of retaining moisture.
Thankfully…
Due to the makeup of tallow, it is effective for strengthening the skin barrier, making it a great choice for those who suffer from eczema. (Which is 10% of America’s population 😬 )
The Reasons
1. Tallow is (obviously) not water-based
In a previous post, I discussed the pros and cons of water vs oil-based moisturizers.
Quick recap: Oil-based moisturizers will moisturize more deeply than water-based moisturizers. Sometimes a lighter moisturizer is beneficial, but in the case of eczema, deeper moisturizing is needed. Aka, oils and tallow.
2. Omega Fatty Acids
These are an essential component of the skin’s barrier. They help promote moisture retention (what’s the point of moisturizing if you're just going to lose it all??). Because omega fatty acids are found in tallow, tallow can strengthen the skin barrier thus reducing eczema.
3. Fat Soluble Vitamins
Tallow contains the fat soluble vitamins A, E, D, and K.
Out of these, vitamin D is especially beneficial for eczema. Overall, these vitamins strengthen the skin and contribute to over all skin health thus reducing eczema.
And many more!
Ok! Now you may be thinking, “Well, Serena, this all sounds well and good, but does it work in real life?” The answer is an emphatic “Yes!” Read on to hear the story of how one mom cured her baby’s eczema within days. ↓
Customer Testimony
I could talk all day about how amazing tallow is for eczema, but this local mom says it best:
“My 6 month old son has had eczema since October. We took him to the pediatrician. The pediatrician recommended Cerave ointment and cream. He also prescribed an ointment to apply on the worse spots. We tried this for a few weeks and saw very little improvement. I tried diet changes (because he is breastfed) and coconut oil. Nothing got rid of it until I tried this tallow. After 24 hours, we noticed a difference. After 48 hours, it was 75% gone. I applied the tallow once in the am and once in the pm for 2 weeks and then ran out. After 24 hours, he had another eczema outbreak. I bought a larger container of tallow and have been using it consistently for 1 week. The eczema is 95% gone! Next, I’m going to try the tallow soap. Thank you for making such an amazing product!”
This is not an isolated story. I have heard from others how tallow has worked wonders for eczema.
Folks, God knows what he is doing. He did not make creation and then leave us to find out that when we put 40 synthetic chemicals together we get a solution (that is potentially toxic). He gave us all we need in nature.
